The project included
complete demolition of the existing east and
west bound travel centers including all fuel
facilities. Each nineteen-acre site was
redeveloped and included a new 30,500 square
foot building, new fuel dispensing
facilities, and new pavement. The buildings
have an 80-foot diameter food court dome
with a copper roof and FRP acoustic panel
interior.
All public areas have
terrazzo floors and the food court
accommodates six vendors. A trucker's
lounge, including private toilets, showers
and laundry is provided. Both facilities
were simultaneously completed in one year. |
